I came to Seoul National University to study and tried the cheapest cafeteria meal. As long as you have a student ID, you can get a meal for 1,000 KRW. Even though the line is long, the lady serving the food is very fast, so you don't have to wait too long. The food is actually quite good, and you can serve yourself more rice. You can also ask the lady for more meat and side dishes. It's a meal where you can eat cheaply and get full.

If you're studying at SNU, I recommend eating here. Outside, meals cost over 10,000 KRW, but with a student ID, the school cafeteria is only 6,000 KRW. It's super cheap. The ladies serving the food are very friendly; if you want more, just ask them. If you need more rice, you can serve yourself. It's perfect for students to get a full meal. Highly recommended for SNU students!
