Onion Seongsu is hands down the most impressive cafe I've visited in Seoul recently; it perfectly captures the spirit of Seongsu-dong's 'industrial aesthetic'! Converted from a 1970s shoe factory, it retains the raw concrete walls, weathered red bricks, and old steel beams, while modern minimalist furniture creates a striking visual contrast. The high ceilings and large glass windows let in plenty of natural light, making the atmosphere both vintage and trendy. Compared to the Hanok style of the Anguk branch, the Seongsu branch offers a unique urban vibe, and the outdoor terrace and rooftop seating are perfect for photos. The signature pastries are unforgettable—the sugar-dusted Pandoro, crispy-yet-soft croissants, and buttery breads are must-tries. For drinks, the vanilla bean latte and signature milk tea are highly recommended. Located about a 5-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 2, it's open daily from 08:00 to 22:00. I suggest visiting on a weekday morning to avoid the crowds and enjoy a relaxing coffee break.
