Artist Bakery

The bread is great, of course, but I was craving the soup so much that I went to get takeout on my last morning, even without makeup!! The soup is consistently amazing—I also bought some bread to take home!! I visit every time on the last morning of my trip.

One of the popular bakeries inside Times Square. The shop is clean, and you can often see staff bringing out freshly baked bread. There's a wide variety of bread, and the prices are similar to other bakeries nearby. It's quite crowded inside due to the high foot traffic. I walked around once to see what they had before going back to choose, but it was a bit difficult to navigate with everyone carrying their bread trays.

The bread is really, really delicious

It's a famous bakery, so I really wanted to visit and went specifically for takeout. I went before dinner in the evening and was able to get in without waiting in line. They were also offering samples of Omija tea at the entrance. There were very few items sold out, so I had plenty to choose from. The squid ink salt bread was something I hadn't seen elsewhere, so I decided on it immediately. It was delicious, of course.
