Jin Ok-Hwa Original Chicken Restaurant

Normally I won’t go to restaurant of which the location isn’t in the Main Street. This time I make the difference for tasting the famous chicken which friends give good comments. chicken is very tender even cooked for long times. I like also the teokbokki which I must try when visiting Korea. It’s worthy to taste it again.

Jinokhwa Grandma's Chicken is a place that I'm sure needs no introduction; anyone visiting Seoul surely knows it. It's a restaurant I absolutely must visit every time I come to Seoul, so you can imagine how highly I recommend it. The chicken is truly tender and the broth is refreshing—I never get tired of it. It would be even better if the environment were more comfortable and the ventilation could be improved.

I think this place has the best Dak-hanmari!! It's definitely worth the wait! If you go before 4 PM, you can avoid the line. On weekends, there's a bit of a wait by 4:30 PM. After 5 PM, the line gets really long. I recommend going early!!
